Reflexology

Hand and foot reflexology may be used to help restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. This gentle therapy, working on the feet or hands, encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own balance. Reflexology focuses on the individual, and can affect not just the physical aspect of an illness or condition but also the emotional side.  It can be good for a whole range of issues, both chronic and acute ranging from back pain, to stress and anxiety, digestive problems to long term neurological conditions.

Treatments bring about a state of deep relaxation in which the body and mind can recharge. It is suitable for people of all ages.

Hot Stone Reflexology

Hot Stones reflexology is a relaxing treatment where warm stones are used to massage your feet and legs, with smaller stones used to apply pressure to specific reflexes.

This is not suitable if you are pregnant.

Maternity Reflexology

Having qualified in Maternity Reflexology with Susanne Enzer in 2006, I have spent a lot of time working with pregnant ladies and have helped two ladies during labour.

During pregnancy, reflexology can support you emotionally, as well as promoting a sense of well-being and relaxation. Many of the common ailments of pregnancy, including morning sickness, oedema, cramps and constipation may be assisted by reflexology.

As with all my treatments, a detailed consultation is taken to ensure the session meets your specific needs.

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD)

This is an award-winning reflexology technique which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to cause an effect on the lymphatic system in the body.

It can be used to reduce lympheodema after treatment for breast cancer; it also works very well with inflammatory auto-immune disorders, colds and other conditions.

Reflexology With Cancer

A diagnosis of cancer is an incredibly difficult time. Reflexology could help you get through this period by helping to relieve stress and anxiety, reduce discomfort and aid relaxation.

I have completed a CPD course in “Adapting Reflexology for Hospice and Cancer Care” at the Christie Hospital in Manchester. I have also been volunteering with St David’s Foundation Cancer Charity for over 10 years carrying out Reflexology treatments.
